SYNOPSIS Twilight in the Park

Crowded Kitchen Players will present “Twilight in the Park” June 7 through June 16 at The Charles A. Brown Ice House.
The year is 1999. Oscar is a strong willed WWII Army combat veteran struggling with PTSD and rapid onset dementia.
As wartime memories overshadow his sense of reality, Oscar increasingly believes that he is still an active duty soldier in a war that never ends. Oscar's wife, Lucy, is near the breaking point as she fights to keep what’s left of him from slipping into delusion. IMG 7282
Lucy’s best friend, Agnes, a lonely woman desperate for love, has grown especially fond of Oscar.
“Twilight in the Park” is a new play by regional playwright and actor Paul Kodiak.IMG 7284
The cast include John Corl as “Oscar”; Pamela Wallace as his wife, “Lucy”; and Marcy Repp as their close friend and neighbor, “Agnes”.
The play is directed by long-time Crowded Kitchen Players’ member, Bruce Brown, and stage managed by acclaimed regional actor, Trish Cipoletti.
Ara Barlieb serves as producer and technical director.
“Twilight in the Park” will be performed in the upstairs theater.
Staff and volunteers from Lehigh County Aging and Adult Services and Dementia Friendly Lehigh Valley will be in the lobby to speak with anyone interested in learning more about dementia and its effects on seniors and their families and friends.
Show times are June 7,8,14,15 @ 730PM and June 9,16 @ 200PM.
