Auditions for acclaimed "Pints, Pounds, and Pilgrims" at Crowded Kitchen Players
Auditions will be held 700-90pm Monday April 17
for Crowded Kitchen Players' production of their acclaimed Irish/American comedy "Pints, Pounds, and Pilgrims".
Needed are actors ages 25 and up to play a variety of comedic roles. Irish accents are encouraged but not required.
There will be cold readings from the script.
What happens when the summer arts festival on Inishbofin, a small island off the west coast of Ireland, inadvertantly hosts two struggling theater companies--- one versed in the Shakespearean classics from London, and another specializing in bawdy dinner theater from Hoboken, New Jersey--- to perform their works in the same theater in Ireland at the same time on the same night.
"Pints, Pounds & Pilgrims is not only paced by a blisteringly funny script, it’s a must-see,"
wrote Paul Willistein in Lehigh Valley Press.
"The play is not only near nonstop laughter, it’s near nonstop laughter nose snorts."
And Dave Howell, in The Morning Call, described it as,
"A successful romp through the theater world. Although it is a comedy, it realistically shows the difficulties and nightmares that can arise from being on stage."
Auditions will be held at 1680 Minesite Road, Allentown, PA 18103. Please call 610-704-6974 for additional information.
"Pints, Pounds, and Pilgrims" will be performed June 2 - June 18 at The Charles A. Brown Ice House in Bethlehem, PA.
